Walgreens (The First Target)
So from the sites I have been studying, I have decided to start small and begin with a small store, like Walgreens. Earlier this week I checked out the site www.livingrichwithcoupons.com and they had a plan for how to buy the most and spend the least using coupons and register rewards.(Don't know what register rewards are? Go to our coupon lingo page.) I was totally psyched because I was going to spend like $6 for maybe $50 worth of items. But the rain cloud formed over my head when I realized I didn't have half the coupons that I needed. In the end I got away with:
2 GUM toothbrushes
(on sale for $2 and you get a RR for $2 so basically free)
2 EOS lip balm
(on sale 2/$6 and receive a RR for $4 so 2/$2)
2 Sunday papers
(using the $4 RR only payed $0.28 for the tax)
2 Milk-Bone dog treats
(on sale $2.99 had a coupon for $1.50 off wyb 2 so payed $4.48 instead of $6 and change)
After coupons and register rewards(RR) I only payed $6.76, not bad for my first time huh?
Now this week I have it all planned out so far, but things can allways change!

Coupons!
With the influence of the TLC show, Extreme Couponing, I have taken it into my hands to save my family of two, hundreds of dollars. Since we have a budget each week I have set a goal to try to pay at most $50 out of pocket, for a grocery trip worth a couple hundred dollars. This goal is a long ways to being accomplished so I'm taking it slow and this is where the blog comes in. By creating this blog I want to publish to the my journey through this new experience!
